The home-brewing beer heating belt is a commonly used auxiliary insulation device during the fermentation process. It provides stable and gentle bottom heat, helping home-brew enthusiasts cope with seasons or environments with lower temperatures, ensuring that the yeast works actively within the ideal temperature range.
The home beer brew heating belt/pad is usually a flexible electric heating film/strip, wrapped around the outer wall of the fermentation tank (usually the bottom or middle-lower part). The home brew heater belt generates low-temperature radiant heat through electrical energy to uniformly warm the beer liquid. Its main function is to solve the problem of environmental temperatures being lower than the optimal fermentation temperature of the yeast, and it is particularly suitable for autumn and winter or environments with large temperature differences.

1. Power and Energy Consumption: The power is generally low (commonly ranging from 20W to 60W), and the energy consumption is not high. When choosing, the size of the fermentation container should be considered (such as 10-30 liters fermentation tanks usually have a certain power).
2. Safety Design: Select ones with waterproof ratings (such as IPX4 or higher) and flame-retardant materials.
3. Temperature Control: The home brew heating belt has a dimmer and a digital display. The dimmer adjusts the power to control the temperature, and the digital display can achieve precise control of "automatically starts when the temperature is low and automatically stops when it is high".
4. Compatibility: Suitable for various types of fermentation containers made of glass bottles, stainless steel tanks, and various plastic fermentation tanks.
How to use home brew heating belts
1. Install the home brew heat heating belt/pad: Wrap the home brew heat heating belt/pad evenly around the middle and lower part of the fermentation tank (approximately at one-third of the container's height), ensuring it makes full contact with the tank wall. Avoid covering the exhaust holes or handles.
2. Positioning the temperature probe: Fix the temperature probe of the thermostat on the wall of the container at a height similar to that of the center of the wine liquid, and cover the probe with insulation material (such as bubble wrap) to measure the temperature of the wine liquid rather than the air temperature. This is a crucial step for achieving precise control.
3. Connection and Setup: Insert the power plug of the home brewing heating belt into the output socket of the thermostat, then turn on the power of the thermostat. Based on the recommended optimal fermentation temperature range for the yeast strain you are using, set the temperature thresholds for starting and stopping the heating on the thermostat (for example, set it to 18°C to start heating and 20°C to stop).
