Although the China crankcase heater element is not a core refrigeration component, it is a crucial compressor protection device that can effectively extend the service life of the compressor and improve the reliability of the system operation.
The compressor crankcase heater is like putting an electric heating insulation coat on the "oil tank" of the compressor. When the compressor stops, the crankcase heater element belt starts to work, preventing the lubricating oil from being contaminated by the liquid refrigerant, thereby ensuring that the compressor can start smoothly with good lubrication and full vitality, and avoiding the risk of liquid impact.

Working Principle
1. Heating by electricity
The inner part of the crankcase heater strip contains an electric heating wire with resistive properties. When electricity is applied, it generates heat.
2. Maintain oil temperature
Wrap or attach the crankcase heater element tightly to the surface of the compressor crankcase. The heat generated by it will continuously transfer to the crankcase and the internal lubricating oil.
3. Prevent condensation
By maintaining the temperature of the crankcase consistently higher than that of the other parts of the system (usually higher than the condensation temperature), the refrigerant vapor will not condense into liquid within the crankcase. This ensures that the refrigeration oil always maintains the appropriate viscosity and lubrication performance.

The China crankcase heater element is mainly used for refrigeration systems that will experience long periods of downtime after long-term operation, or in areas with large temperature differences and high humidity. Especially:

2. Refrigeration unit of the cold storage facility

4. Air conditioners that provide heating in winter (because the outdoor temperature is low in winter, the phenomenon of migration after shutdown becomes more severe)
